Background
Beverley Ouzman has a BA (Hons) from Oxford University in Biochemistry with Chemical Pharmacology as a supplementary subject and Certificate in Intellectual Property law from Queen Mary and Westfield College. Bev has over 20 years’ experience as a qualified patent and trademark attorney. She enjoys all aspects of IP, and has vast experience in advising clients ranging from individuals and SMEs to large corporates, as well as Universities, Research Institutes and spin-out companies.
Bev has particular expertise in life sciences and biotechnology. She has handled technologies ranging from pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, nanotechnology, stem cells, viral vectors, genetic constructs, plant and protein biochemistry, and has significant experience in medical devices.
Bev was elected as a Council member for the UK Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) in 2011 and continues to serve as a member of Council, and is a member of CIPA’s Committee on IP Commercialization. Bev is also an Examiner for the examinations for qualifying as a UK patent attorney.
